Summer Loving | Yucaipa Family Photography
From cozy sweaters on the racks to pumpkin lattes at the coffee shop, everything is screaming fall is here. This Southern California area heat on the other hand makes me think summer adventures will last forever. While we are holding onto some last remains of summer and having adventures in Yucaipa and Oak Glen, sadly our summer loving is over for the most part. Since it is over a 100 degrees today though I am going to pretend it is still the carefree days of adventure and share a few of my favorite images from the past few months.
Park days were a staple of our summer. Baby Annalise loves to lay on a blanket in the grass and watch the trees dance in the wind, that is when she wasn’t sleeping through all the fun. If you haven’t checked out the Schoolhouse Museum and Park in Oak Glen it is a must! This historic property is beautiful and always 10 degrees cooler than Yucaipa which is a welcomed relief. We often joined the other families in the community group we have joined since attending Emmaus Church in Redlands, which brought so much fun and fellowship.
We also loved Ford Park in Redlands and enjoyed blankets under the trees, chats with other moms and tree climbing adventures. As a new mom the ability to see what my baby girl may grow into one day is so encouraging. It reminds me that I am not alone on this journey and also reminds me to hold her tight while she is little for one day she will be on the go in her own world.
Snow-Line Orchard and Winery in Oak Glen is on the list of our favorite places we explored this summer. You cannot beat fresh, warm apple cider donuts made with hand-pressed apple cider from apples grown right outside. Add in fresh raspberry picking and outside carnival games and it is a morning full of giggles and memories. I am so glad this magical place stays open for apple season! I cannot wait for our fall adventures.
What are your favorite places to explore during the summer? I would love to make a list for next year! Comment below with your favorite Inland Empire adventures.
