2016 | A Year In Review | Los Angeles Birth and Family Photographer
2016 proved to be a much slower year than I thought it would be. Reading through my 2015 in review post, I was full of anticipation and dreams. Yet, it was a year filled with deep personal loss as my husband and I lost our first little one to miscarriage. It also proved to be a year of slowing down as we were blessed with another pregnancy and now finish the year 31 weeks into growing this sweet baby girl.
I took fewer sessions this year yet each felt deeply meaningful and important. Each client I created images for are so special to me. From the birth of a new life, to documenting the journey of preemie babies in the NICU, to family sessions and documenting daily life, 2016 will forever hold some of my favorite images. Below are just a few of my favorites for you to enjoy.
As I move into 2017 and anticipate the birth of my daughter, the word “intentional” sits on my heart. Personally, I will strive to be intentional with her and my husband as we grow our family. Professionally, I am going to be taking on births, new beginnings sessions (my version of Fresh 48 sessions) and sunset or in home family sessions that will be 1-2 hours. As much as I love the full day in the life sessions, those will have to wait for now. I will also be cutting down on events, besides adoption days which are near and dear to my heart! My hope is by offering fewer types of sessions I can be deeply intentional with each of my clients and serve them to the highest level possible. Please contact me as soon as possible if you are interested in a birth, new beginnings or family session for 2017. I truly hope to continue to tell your story or welcome you into the Captured Grace by Erin family. Thank you for being such a special part of my story!
P.S. did your favorite image make the list below? I would love to hear which ones speak to you.
